Training for my First 1/2 Marathon

Running a half marathon has been a goal of mine for about 2 years now. I recently went through a break up, so what better time than now to get motivated to prove to myself that I am up for a challenge! Running has been therapy for me in the past but I haven't been consistently running for about 4 years now. Since I am basically starting from scratch, I had to find a solid 10 week training program. 

I am on week 2 of this training plan. I have accomplished my big weekend runs so far but I have been slacking off a bit with the week day runs. Mostly because the long runs wear me out over the weekend. 

The biggest thing I've learned so far is not to be too hard on myself. If I miss a day, I will make up for it. Everyday is a new day to start fresh! I am excited to post updates about this. The race is November 12th.
