Winter is Coming

I'm usually the LAST person who wants to start playing Christmas music the day after Halloween. For the past 24 years I've always rolled my eyes when I see the poinsettias being put out mid October, but for some reason this year I am absolutely 100% on board with being in the holiday spirit "early"! Maybe it's because there has been so much sadness going on in the world that holiday cheer feels extremely necessary this year, even more so than usual. 

October was the opitimy of the highs & lows that life can take us through in a very short amount of time. I am happy for it's challenges, sad for it's losses, joyful for it's gains, and peaceful knowing I'm on the other side of it. 

I traveled back and forth from Nashville to Seattle 3 times in October for all of my brother's weddings festivities - it was pretty incredible and I couldn't be more proud that my brother is starting a life of his own with his beautiful bride whom I love dearly! What more can a sister ask for? 

In this fist week of November, I have been allowing my body to catch up on it's rest. As hard as it was mentally and productivity wise not to wake up at 6am every day this week, I knew that my body and my mind needed some extra Zzzz's to get replenished. Now that I feel back to 100% emotionally and physically, I've started planning out my winter routine. Health is going to be the theme of this winter season for me. I want to give my body extra nourishment and care through the cold season so I am ahead of the game come spring. I've started setting out fitness & health goals. Meal prepping is going to be key, as well as my daily vitamin boost & ACV shots. I've already started drinking the boost & the ACV shots every morning for this past week and to be honest, my body hasn't felt like it needed a boost from caffeine and my memory has become brilliant with color. I find it very interesting. A few other things that I incorporate every year are Thieves oil in my diffuser, shots of Oregano oil, and Wellness pills. These 3 things have kept me (for the past 2 years) from getting the sinus & ear infections I used to get annually. It's amazing really. I've also decided to continue to keep out gluten and dairy, it's changed my health in the most positive way. Ps, I added images of all of the health stuff at the end of this post.
